Barrington’s Restaurant opened in October of 2000 in the neighborhood setting of Fox Croft East in South Park. This cozy bistro style restaurant seats up to 45 people. The food is upscale American with a homey twist; in fact, Barrington’s is named after Bruce Moffett’s hometown in Rhode Island.

The menu changes seasonally and features local and organic produce. Among the favorites is Roasted Chicken with Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Spinach in a Garlic pan sauce as well as the Handmade Gnocchi with Veal and Porcini Mushrooms. Barrington’s has a small but exceptional wine list, which is reflective of the restaurant’s philosophy. Each bottle is carefully chosen to match the cuisine.

The restaurant has achieved numerous awards and accolades; most notably it received 4 out of the 4 stars in the Charlotte Observer and was named “Tops for food in Charlotte” in the ZAGAT’S 2003-2010: Top Restaurants in America Guide. In the Guide, Barrington’s received a 29 out of 30 in the food category. This is the highest possible rating in the ZAGAT Guide. These accomplishments prompted AOL to list Barrington’s as one of the top 11 restaurants in the country.

The restaurant is opened nightly Monday thru Saturday for dinners only. Because of the small size and popularity of the restaurant, reservations are recommended.
